  • HINNY TN2099 is a high-flow semi-aromatic transparent nylon, also called PA6I6T, providing a strong barrier against oxygen and aromas and excellent resistance to a variety of solvents.
  • It has the advantages of high transparency, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and low water absorption. The material offers exceptional mechanical strength and durability as well.

In the rapidly evolving engineered plastics landscape, HINNY TN2099 has emerged as a transformative solution for extreme-condition applications. Designed for engineering plastics compound, it usually serves as a high-performance additive in PA6 or PA66 + glass fiber (GF) systems to transform base polymers into premium performers. Serves as an alternative to Zytel PA3426.

 

HINNY TN2099 can effectively improve mechanical properties and reduce water absorption. Our cooperative partner experiments shows the material water absorption can drop by 30%,  and the mechanical performance improved about 20%.

WHY TN2099? 
As a significant semi-aromatic polyphthalamide (PPA), TN2099  combines exceptional thermal stability, mechanical robustness, and chemical resistance—making it indispensable for automotive, electronics, and industrial sectors demanding metal replacement. This high-performance polyamide has 4 key advantages: 
  1. Eliminate glass Fiber on surface, improves gloss.
    Suppresses surface fiber exposure ("floating fiber") by enhancing polymer-GF inter-facial adhesion.
  2. Prevent warping
    Optimize the molecular structure, decrease the rate of warping
  3. Lower water absorption: 
    Outstanding dimensional stability in hot and humid environment. Water absorption drop 30-50% when blending with PA6 or PA66.
  4. Enhance mechanical performance  
    Approximately 20% improvement in tensile strength and flexural modulus, compared with base resins.
